DIY Recycled Paper Making

Turn old paper into new sheets using water and simple tools! Explore how recycling works while learning about material science and sustainable design.

Materials:

• Scrap paper (used printer paper, newspaper, etc.)

• Water

• Blender

• Bowl or container

• Mesh screen or strainer

• Towel or cloth

Instructions:

1. Tear scrap paper into small pieces and soak them in water.

2. Blend the mixture until it becomes a pulp.

3. Pour the pulp into a bowl and add more water if needed.

4. Dip the mesh screen into the mixture and lift it out evenly.

5. Let excess water drain, then place the pulp onto a towel.

6. Press and dry the sheet until it forms recycled paper.
