Paws for a Cause: Dog Toy Drive
Love animals and want to help local pets? We’ve partnered with Paly High School Sewing Club to create fun, handmade dog toys! Students will help craft braided ropes, stuffed fabric toys, and tug toys using leftover fabric, old t-shirts, or socks. Drop off your donations at our collection spots, and we’ll deliver them to local animal shelters and rescue organizations. Every toy brings joy to a furry friend and helps care for pets in need—thank you for making tails wag one toy at a time!
Earth Day Celebration – City of Milpitas
Thread of Hope will be participating in the Earth Day Celebration hosted by the City of Milpitas, a community event focused on sustainability, environmental education, and hands-on activities. Join us at Murphy Park to explore our youth-led projects that combine creativity, STEM, and upcycling to make a positive impact.
Visitors can stop by our booth to learn simple, practical ways to reduce waste and get involved in community-driven sustainability efforts. The event will also feature interactive activities, environmental organizations, and family-friendly experiences.
We’re excited to connect with the community and celebrate Earth Day together
2026 Chinese New Year Gala
Thread of Hope is excited to host a booth at the 2025 Chinese New Year Gala! We’ll be sharing our newest upcycling projects, hands-on sustainability activities, and student-made crafts. Visitors can stop by to learn simple ways to reduce waste, explore STEM-inspired eco ideas, and support our mission to create change one action at a time. We can’t wait to celebrate the New Year with the community and spread awareness about sustainable living!
One Square at a Time: Blanket & Scarf Drive
One Square at a Time: Blanket & Scarf Drive is a simple but meaningful way to help out—even if you’re short on time. Just knit or crochet a few 5"x5" or 5"x7" squares and drop them off at one of our collection spots, like your local library. We’ll sew everyone’s squares together to create warm blankets and scarves for people in need. Every small square adds up to something big, so thank you for making a difference one thread at a time!
