From Workshop to Science Fair: Student Projects at CASPA 2026

On August 29, students from Thread of Hope’s summer workshop series showcase their projects at the 2026 Bay Area Science Fair, hosted by CASPA at Cupertino City Hall. They share what they have learned with visitors, families, and other young scientists from across the community.

Thread of Hope mentors support students as they develop their ideas, prepare their displays, and practice explaining their work. Students learn how to describe their questions, design process, observations, and conclusions clearly while building confidence as presenters.

The science fair brings the workshop experience full circle. Students move beyond participating in hands-on activities to sharing their curiosity and knowledge with others. Their work demonstrates how mentorship, creativity, and STEM education can help young people turn an early idea into a project they are proud to present.
